I feel passionate about helping individuals and couples overcome their struggles and live a happier and more fulfilling life. I work in an integrated way drawing from Humanistic and Attachment Theories to Cognitive Based Therapies and the latest in Neuroscience. My approach is compassionate yet practical, and I will work collaboratively with you to help you reach your goals.

 

I began my career in community mental health and then later transitioned into working with adults in private practice and specializing in couples counseling. Along the way, I worked as a Clinical Supervisor, mentoring and training new counselors as they start their careers.

 

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in California and have been practicing for over eighteen years. I received extensive training in Emotionally Focus Therapy, Gottman Method, TEAM CBT and Trauma Informed Therapies.

 

I was born in Hong Kong and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. My bi-cultural background has not only helped me to appreciate clients from all different backgrounds, but it has also helped me to have additional insight and understanding into working with Asian Americans. In my free time, I enjoy reading, art, hiking and spending time with my family.
